Off the back of a sold-out first event, The Shell V-Power Motorsport Park has bolstered its on-track entertainment with the Hooligans Stunt Team to perform for the first time in SA at the April 5-7 Riverbend Nationals featuring the Australian Top Fuel Championship.
The Hooligans Stunt Show is a high-octane motorcycle spectacular featuring some of Australia’s best ‘big-twin’ riders performing unimaginable moves on 300kg Harley Davidson’s. From Harley wheelies, drift races and plenty of burning rubber, the live Hooligans show is an experience like no other. The Hooligans will perform shows and entertain the crowd on both the Saturday (6th) and Sunday (7th) of April further enhancing ‘The Bend’ as a high-octane, high-adrenaline sports and entertainment facility.
The April Riverbend Nationals will be hosted over the Gather Round weekend and will feature the return of the kings of Drag Racing ‘Top Fuel’ as well as the Western Conference final for the Aeroflow sportsman series. The October Top Fuel ‘Spring Nationals’ event was hosted in front of a sold-out crowd of over 22,000 people and the April event promises to deliver another huge crowd.
‘Rad-Dad’ Bryan Farrow who is a rider and Co-Founder of the Hooligans has performed the show in QLD, NSW, VIC & TAS and was thrilled to be invited to the Riverbend Nationals:
“We can’t wait to get out on the Harley's and put on an adrenaline filled show for the crowd. 22,000 people at the opening day of the venue is a testament to the interest in motorsport in South Australia and we are hoping to put on an unforgettable show for the bumper crowd in April in what is anticipated to be our only SA show in 2024.”
Alistair MacDonald, CEO of the Shell V-Power Motorsport Park has expressed how excited he is for the return of Top Fuel and the introduction of more at-track entertainment.
“Since the Dragway’s Grand Opening in October we are improving our fan experience at each event. In January we were pleased to introduce our family zone as well as additional General Admission bars and now in April we are looking forward to the Hooligans entertaining the crowd when the track goes cold.”
“There is nothing like experiencing the speed and noise of Top Fuel and with the additional Group 1 categories and sportsman racing as well as off track entertainment, bars and food trucks we believe that the Riverbend Nationals is a must see sporting event.”
